Ben was a 2014 graduate of Kettering University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He met his wife Liz (Scheller) at first-year orientation at Kettering, and they were married just after Ben graduated from Kettering on December 28, 2014. Ben passed away in an accident on Lake Houston on April 12, 2020.
Ben always highly valued his Kettering education. This scholarship, established by Liz, will benefit a student from Texas studying Electrical Engineering at Kettering. This past summer Liz returned to campus to create a music video in Ben's memory-- proceeds from the video will benefit this scholarship. To watch the video click on the link below.
